Electricity use in Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers, the tallest twin buildings in the world, has been cut by up to 60% following the installation of light detection controls.

Lighting management specialists Ex-Or installed LightSpot sensors in more than 40 floors of the 88-storey buildings, which turn on when an area becomes occupied then automatically switch off when empty.
