The water Utilities company Balfour Beatty company picked up wins in the People, Innovation and Presentation and ‘Water Dragons’ categories at the Society of British Water and Wastewater Industries Awards 2010.
Colin Kelly, Director of Gas and Water at Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions said: “This is a great result for the company and reflects the dedication and expertise of the teams and individuals involved. To have been successful in three categories is a real achievement and one I think the business should be extremely proud of.”
Site manager Lee Gerrard won the People award for his contribution to industry for his work on pipe rehabilitation. The ‘Water Dragons‘ prize came as a joint venture with Viking Johnson for the Remote Easiclamp, a product designed to help fix pipe leakages. The prize for Innovation and Presentation was also for the clamp.
