The Guardian have launched their Sustainable Business Awards, held in London on the 25th of May. They aim to showcase innovation in corporate sustainability.

Jo Confino, Executive Editor of the Guardian said: “Businesses face a complex set of challenges as they come under increasing pressure to move away from unsustainable business practices. Rather than just seeing problems to be solved, there are a small but growing number of far-sighted companies that have recognised the importance of integrating sustainability into the core of their operations to ensure their future success.”

The awards intend, perhaps most importantly, to help share best practice with other companies who perhaps do not have the capability at present.

The award categories are split into three categories: Communications, Impact and Resources with one winner being selected for each category. There is also a category to celebrate an individual corporate sustainability professional who has made an outstanding contribution to corporate sustainability.

The closing date for entries is the 7th of February.
