E.ON donated more than £236,000 to charities and not-for-profit organisations from the company’s Employee Community Fund last year.

Schools, charities and hospices are among those which have received grants.

E.ON Community Relations Manager Suzanne Doxey said: “The passion and enthusiasm that our employees have shown is incredible and we’re delighted to have been able to help so many worthy groups through this scheme.

“The charities and organisations which have benefited this year are close to the hearts of our many colleagues who have chosen to apply for support and we look forward to hearing more moving stories in 2011.”
