ExxonMobil is the world’s top oil and gas brand this year, with a brand value of $17billion, according to a new top 100 chart by Millward Brown.

The international company was ranked 41st out of the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands.

Shell was the second best oil and gas brand at $15billion, while Brazil’s Petrobas jumped the rankings to third best with a brand value increase of 39%, based on expectations for the firm.

Oil giant BP was fourth best oil and gas brand, but overall fell thirty places to 64th in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon accident according to the report.

iPad makers Apple stole the number one spot in the Top 100 from search engine Google in the poll.
