Olympic site workers were encouraged to be more efficient with the appeal of exclusive pin badges. This was one of the novel measures that the Olympic Delivery Authority put in place to make the London 2012 Games more sustainable.

Only 1,000 were made and awarded to winners (one pictured), said Richard Jackson, joking that in ten years’ time a couple may end up on eBay. The former Principle Sustainable Development and Regeneration Manager at the ODA was speaking at The Energy Event in Birmingham today.
