Water management trails climate change in the battle for attention in boardrooms, according to new analysis by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). This is despite the billion-pound risk to infrastructure water hazards and problems with drought present to countries.

Out of 190 publicly listed organisations surveyed, 57% reported board-level oversight of water use, that is, whether someone is taking responsibility for water policies or strategies. The CPD says this works out as roughly half the attention given to climate issues, referring to its own research earlier this year when 94% of the Global 500 companies they polled said they were looking at climate change.
