Offshore oilfield services firm Sparrows is launching a recruitment drive to fill more than 100 positions in the UK. The Aberdeen engineers are looking for candidates from a range of disciplies who will be the “future of the business”.

This follows the announcement of £32 million investment for new and existing contracts earlier this year. Out of 143 newly created positions, 101 will be in the UK.

Doug Sedge, chief executive officer said: “With skills shortages in the oil and gas sector, it is vital to the sustainability of our business and the industry that we train and develop our people, particularly the younger ones, as well as bringing in new people.”
