Leading Spanish wind companies Iberdrola and Gamesa Eólica have signed a wind turbine supply and maintenance framework agreement, extending their current deal through to 2022.

Under the new agreement, Iberdrola will buy 50% of its wind turbines from Gamesa Eólica between 2013 and 2022 or up to the date at which 3,800 MW in turbine capacity is acquired.

Iberdrola already has around 9,000 MW of capacity from the 13,500 MW it has installed worldwide from Gamesa wind turbines.
