Spanish wind manufacturer Gamesa is building 100 wind turbines on Egypt’s Red Sea coast. It won a contract with the country’s New & Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) to deliver 200 MW of turbines to wind energy projects in the Gulf of El-Zayt. The firm already has 406 MW of turbine capacity in Egypt as well as wind farms in Tunisia and Morocco.
