A manufacturer of small wind turbines in the UK has had sales growth more than 200% over the last year.

The turbines installed by Evance Wind Turbines can generate around 9,900 MWh of electricity annually. They claim this saves over 4,250 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent of taking around 1,800 cars off the road.

Evance has reportedly seen a continuous strong demand for small wind across the UK, which has led them to expand their manufacturing capability and increase their workforce by 25%.

Kevin Parslow, CEO of Evance Wind Turbines said: “We’ve seen strong demand for turbines and we’re keen for the Government to continue its support for this important emerging renewable sector through stable Feed-in-Tariffs that encourage the wider adoption of small scale wind turbines by individuals, communities and small businesses. With energy costs rising by around 20% this year and possibly more in the future years, wind energy is a great benefit.”

The wind turbine manufacturer is based in Leicestershire.
