M&C Energy Group is pleased to have attracted the services of accomplished energy sector manager Mark Robinson as a Corporate Account Manager UK.
36-year-old Mark has joined M&C – world leader in energy consulting, risk management, client support and energy services – with a significant track record of achievement across the energy sector over the last ten years.
Mark Robinson said: “I am excited about working with M&C Energy Group. They are the world leading company and have exciting plans for growth and development around the world.
“Bringing my experience and skills to the company will hopefully help that growth. I share the M&C belief that products need to fit customer requirements and not the other way around, and that makes working with clients and prospects so much easier.”
His career in energy started with five years at npower, initially in the operations side of the business which then took over Independent Energy. He then subsequently worked in demand forecasting, and charging methodologies.
Mark then moved to energy consultant BIU. He set up their first flexible purchasing products as they had, up until then, only offered fixed purchasing.
From there Mark moved to be Director of Energy for Buying Solutions, the UK Government’s leading purchasing organisation. Here he managed an annual energy spend in excess of £1.2 billion, and was responsible for merging NHS PASAs energy purchasing into Buying Solutions, while leading a department of 50 staff.
Latterly Mark was Head of Customer Portfolio for First Utility, a mainly domestic energy supplier, with a focus on smart metering.
Originally from Birmingham, Mark now lives with his wife near Cambridge, and is interested in all sports.
