A new solar panel has been created to fit tiled roofs. Solarcentury, who designed the C21e solar electric plain tile says the product came about in response to a high demand for them. The company says the new product can be fitted to tile roofs from many different manufacturers.
Each tile is 47w, with 54 tiles forming a typical 2.5kWp system – generating 2,150kWh per year. The individual modules of the system mean the solar panels can maximise the use of the available roof space, as they can be positioned around obstructions such as windows and vents.
Solarcentury will be unveiling the new product at this year’s Ecobuild, 20-22 March at ExCel.
