Private & public sectors join forces to increase London’s EV charging network.

The electric vehicle (EV) charging point network POLAR and Transport for London (TFL) have announced plans to install 200 new EV points in the capital.

The POLAR charging points are expected to charge at more than twice the normal speed. London currently has a 700 point EV network across the city following the Mayor’s plans last year.

Nick Fairhome, TFL Director said: “The new sites will help ensure we meet our target of installing 1,300 charge points in the Capital by 2013.”

The 200 new points will be installed in key locations across the capital, such as supermarkets, car parks, railway stations & shopping centers.
