Opus Energy has announced it will buy all unused power from turbines built by Endurance Wind Power (pictured).

Around 500 of the small-scale 50kW turbines have been installed across the UK for homeowners, businesses and farmers in particular.

Opus Energy says all current and future Endurance customers will get a preferential rate for the energy they sell.

Dave Rankin, Managing Director for Endurance UK said: “This partnership cements Endurance’s position as the UK’s leading supplier of small scale turbines to British farmers by guaranteeing them additional income every year, mitigating the uncertainty of annual crop revenue and helping the rural economy.”

Opus Energy also signed up three new hydro-powered energy generation plants in Scotland, adding to its existing portfolio of wind, solar and anaerobic digestion earlier this year.
