A free range egg supplier in the UK is hoping for cracking savings of £32,000 on its yearly energy bill by using solar panels.
Sunrise Eggs’ main packing and distribution depot near Loughborough in Leicestershire is getting a 200kilowatt (kW) solar energy system, supplied by international solar firm SunConnex.
The system’s 800 south-east facing solar panels, installed by Salop Energy, are projected to generate 160,000 units of electricity a year.
