New predictions from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of the impact of humans on climate change were bashed today as “untrustworthy”.
The IPCC’s latest report found it is “extremely likely” humans have been the cause of observed climate change since the mid-20th century.
Sceptics have been quick to attack the report’s assessment that atmosphere and ocean have warmed and the global mean sea level has risen because of humanity.
Dr Benny Peiser, director of the Global Warming Policy Foundation claimed the IPCC has decided to discount a global warming standstill since 1997 as “irrelevant”, criticising the group’s climate models.
He said: “Today the IPCC has taken a huge gamble that will soon determine whether it is still fit for purpose. Unless global temperature will begin to rise again in the next few years, the IPCC is very likely going to suffer an existential blow to its credibility.”
Professor Bob Carter, Chief Science Advisor of the International Climate Science Coalition which says in its mission statement it is opposed to “misguided plans to ‘solve the climate crisis’… including wind power and solar panels” said: “No one should trust the UN IPCC report issued today. The IPCC has a history of malfeasance that even includes rewording recommendations of expert science advisors to fit the alarmist agenda of participating governments.”
