A grandma has vented her anger about rising energy prices with a violent killing spree – in a videogame.

A YouTube user uploaded the video which has been viewed more than 339,000 times so far with a description saying: “Sorry about the language everyone but I got a letter from British Gas and I had to let my anger out!

“20% price hike?! You thieving b******s. Have some of this.”

So far four of the Big Six suppliers – SSE, British Gas, npower and ScottishPower – have raised gas and electricity prices this winter.

In the video, the elderly woman is seen punching several pedestrians, firing at them and blowing up a gas rig from a helicopter (pictured) – all while swearing at British Gas.

Approaching a man in the game, she says: “Hello. What do you do for a living? Work for British Gas do ya? You w****r”, kicking him from the back.

“You put my bills up… you take that”, she adds, punching another one in the face.

British Gas said it wouldn’t comment on the video when contacted by ELN.

There have been suggestions the video is part of an elaborate prank and that the granny is narrating it while someone else is playing the game.

Yesterday the Big Six were accused of being the “best filibusters in the business” and “charging the maximum price they feel they can get away with” while justifying the recent energy price hikes in front of a panel of MPs.
