Spanish manufacturer Gamesa has signed two new agreements to supply turbines for wind projects in Brazil.

It will provide 68MW to CER for the Assurua 2, 5 and 7 wind farms and another 30MW to Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis for its Ventos dos Guarás 1 wind farm.

All the projects are in the northeastern state of Bahia and are due for completion by the end of next year.

Gamesa will also provide operations and maintenance services on both wind farms for a period of 15 years.

With these new contracts, Gamesa has now received orders for the supply of turbines with a capacity of 1.4GW in Brazil.
