Spain’s largest wind turbine manufacturer has won a contract to supply wind turbines to a Chinese company.

Gamesa will provide 49.3MW of turbines to CGN Wind Energy for the Chengdingsha wind farm being built in the Shandong province, which is part of the East China region.

It will start delivering the 2MW turbines in July, with the wind farm due to be completed by the end of this year.

Gamesa has signed contracts accounting for 106MW of wind capacity with the Chinese utility since 2009. It claims to have installed more than 3,150MW of wind turbines since 2000.
