Energy consultancy group Inenco today reported a 10% boost in the number of companies asking for advice on cutting carbon emissions and getting green energy.

It said this rising interest is one reason for moving to a new office to expand its business.

The North West company manages more than £3.2billion of electricity, gas and green energy for small businesses, the public sector and larger brands such as M&S.

Michael Abbott, Inenco Group Chief Executive said: “We have seen significantly increased demand from smaller organisations, which is where our Inenco Direct business is focused.”

Companies are also keen to learn more about compliance and legislation, such as the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme, said the firm.
