Five of the most customer focused people in the UK’s energy consultancies have been shortlisted for the Unsung Hero award sponsored by EDF Energy at The Energy Live Consultancy Award (TELCA) 2014.

This follows an anonymous judging process completed by a number of energy buyers over recent weeks. Unsung Hero was one of the most competitive awards for this year’s TELCAs and arriving at a shortlist was no easy task.

EDF Energy extends its congratulations to:

  1. Jess Snashfold of Energy & Carbon Management
  2. Lyn Barnes of Select Energy Direct
  3. Phil Bennett of Auditel Leeds
  4. Sam Frisby of Blue Castle Energy
  5. Fiona Shorrick of Focus Assured

Recognition for a job well done matters

Mark Loveday, Director of I&C at EDF Energy said: “We have a few ways of recognising when our people ‘go above and beyond’ for their customers and colleagues. We do it because the effort made by employees serving customers has a major impact on the level of trust our customers have in our company.

“We decided to sponsor this award to shine a light on those energy consultancy employees who are doing great things for customers. After all, many of our business customers use energy consultants and it’s important that we work well together to deliver the high quality service our customers deserve.

“A large number of nominations for this award shows there are many people doing a great job and customers appreciate their efforts. If you were one of them, well done.

“But only five people could make it on to the shortlist. Good luck to each of them. We look forward to announcing the winner on 19 June at TELCA 2014.”
