The Government is encouraging householders to “act now” and get their money back for installing energy-saving measures in their homes.

The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund offers homes in England and Wales up to £7,600 for energy efficiency improvements such as solid wall insulation, heating systems and double glazing.

DECC has issued £25 million to more than 4,400 households in the last month.

Energy Minister Greg Barker said: “With the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund off to such an encouraging start, it’s the perfect time to make your home more energy efficient. Act now, get money for the improvements and enjoy a warmer home and lower energy bills this winter.”
