Indian energy giant Tata Power has launched a new programme aimed at educating students on managing waste.

The ‘Waste Management Module’, part of its nationwide energy and resource conservation movement Club Enerji, will emphasise on saving water, fuel, paper and electricity.

It aims to teach students about the repercussions of waste dumping on the environment and its impact on the quality of soil, air and the ecosystem as a whole.

Mr Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Power said: “By mobilising the youth with the knowledge to effectively treat waste, Club Enerji aims to spread the message further to their families and reach out to the communities at large. The module also encourages students to form their own mini clubs in their societies to reach out to more citizens.”
