Waste management firm Viridor has won a contract to process and sell dry recyclable materials for Dacorum borough council.

More than 18,000 tonnes of household waste such as paper, plastic bottles, cans, foil and glass will be recycled at its facility in Crayford.

It will sort and turn the materials into the “highest possible quality” for re-manufacturing, Viridor said.

Graham Warren, Regional Managing Director at Viridor said: “Winning this contract reflects our desire to pursue quality and by working in partnership with councils, create opportunities to increase the value we recover from our waste streams.”
