Gamesa has agreed to sell one its Spanish wind farms to a Chinese company.

The Barchin wind project in Cuenca has 14 turbines and a total capacity of 28MW.

Under the agreement, Gamesa will provide the operation and maintenance service for the facility as well as handle its “commercial and administrative management”.

The company said in a statement: “This agreement marks one of the first wind farms developed in Spain to be sold in the wake of the new energy reforms.”

Utility company China Huadian Corporation has bought the wind farm.
