The final turbine has successfully been installed at the Clashindarroch wind farm in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

The milestone was reached on Saturday, four days ahead of schedule, developer Vattenfall said.

The facility includes 18 turbines and will generate more than 110,00MWh of clean electricity every year – enough to power around 27,000 homes.

The project, which has a total capacity of 36.9MW, is also expected to cut more than 40,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

First power is scheduled for November this year.
