EDF Renewable Services has secured a contract to support a wind farm in the US.
The 200MW Mesquite Creek project, located in Dawson and Borden Counties in Texas, will include 118 turbines.
Under the terms of the Balance of Plant (BOC) agreement with Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, EDF will provide the operations and maintenance services for the facility, including the substation, transformers, transmission lines and control systems.
Dalen Copeland, Director of Business Development for EDF Renewable Services said: “We are pleased to partner with Sumitomo and be a part of their global commitment to sustaining the environment through the ownership of renewable projects.”
The project is currently under construction and is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2015.
