Russia resumed gas deliveries to Ukraine on Tuesday after a six-month hiatus.
Ukraine’s gas transport monopoly Ukrtransgaz said the volume of imports is around 43.5 million cubic meters per day.
“Imports of natural gas from outside Russia started two days earlier”, it added.
Russia halted flows to Ukraine six months ago in a dispute over prices and unpaid debts.
Supplies will flow via the northern Belarussian pipeline of Mozyr and the eastern Sudzha route.
Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission signed an agreement in October for Moscow to resume supplies to Ukraine this winter.
