The deadline fast approaches to have a say in who is on the panel which governs changes to the Smart Energy Code (SEC).
This code is the agreement between suppliers and other companies involved in the smart meter rollout, which aims to have 53 million smart electricity and gas meters in domestic and and non-domestic sites by 2020.
By 16 January 2015 nominations must be in for new members of the Change Board, which is one rung below the SEC Panel.
Nine seats can be taken by large suppliers, three by electricity and gas network representatives, one for a consumer member and three for other companies involved in the smart rollout.
There are only 12 members of the panel at the moment, with the consumer spot not occupied. These members can be re-elected.
