EDF has launched a smart thermostat system that will let customers control their heating remotely.

The Heatsmart remote system will allow users to set a regular heating routine on an app so that homes will be heated at preferred times.

If your plans change you can easily adjust the system so you’re not wasting money on heating up an empty house.

The system costs £199 and is available to non-EDF customers. The app to adjust your heating preferences works on all Android, Apple and Windows phones.

Customers can check the EDF website to see if their home is compatible with the system.
