Engineering firm Amec Foster Wheeler has secured a nine-year contract with power provider EDF Energy.

Under the agreement, the company will provide project management services for all of EDF’s nuclear power stations as well as the technical offices in Gloucester and East Kilbride in Scotland.

The power plants include Sizewell in Suffolk, Hunterston in North Ayrshire, Torness in East Lothian, Heysham 1 and 2 in Lancashire, Hartlepool on Teesside, Dungeness in Kent and Hinkley Point in Somerset.

Clive White, President of Amec Foster Wheeler’s Clean Energy business said: “This framework agreement further reinforces our long-standing relationship with EDF Energy.”

Last week EDF Energy won the largest annual electricity contract in Britain.
