Johnny Wilson, Head of Indirect Sales, npower Business Solutions
Johnny has ultimate responsibility for the relationship npower has with the growing number of energy consultants and brokers the business serves at the larger end of the market. He has worked in a range of roles within the consultant sector for the past five years, developing both the client base and the npower team while also building and enhancing the sales offering for fixed, flexible, consortium and mid-market purchasing arrangements.
Prior to joining Business Solutions, Johnny worked with npower Business as Head of Acquisition Partners & Commercial Sales Team, where among other achievements, he grew broker sales in the SME sector from 30 to 1000 per week in just one year. Previous roles at npower include Energy Purchasing Manager, leading a team responsible for hedging and risk management of power and gas for business and residential consumers. Johnny also has experience of pricing and renewables, with a career in energy spanning almost 20 years.
Outside of work, Johnny is a keen football enthusiast, managing a successful senior football club in the Northern Alliance Premier Division. He is currently working to upgrade the club’s facilities to semi-professional level, as well as establishing a youth football academy. He is married with four children and lives in Northumberland.
