Kate Derrick, Sales Development Manager for npower Business Solutions
As an award-winning sales professional, Kate is responsible for optimising and developing the key sales channels npower operates to serve our business customers.
Kate joined npower in 2011, working first with consultants as a Consultant Sales Performance Manager before moving on to develop the gas market as a strategic and growing area of the npower Business Solutions portfolio. In December 2014, she was named the ‘Best Woman in Field Sales’ at the Women in Sales Awards.
With 13 years experience in the energy industry, Kate started her career at E.ON in marketing and customer service. In 2005, she became a New Business Sales Team Manager, setting up a new team and achieving an impressive six figure sales figure in the first year. She then went on to focus on new meter connections and cross-selling new supply contracts, before leaving to join EnergyQuote JHA as a Regional Consultant and then working in a short-term role to establish a new consultants and brokers sales channel for an ex-National Grid spin off called Fulcrum.
