India is planning to build two new wind farms with a combined capacity of 158MW.
Spanish wind farm developer Gamesa will build the projects for an independent power producer (IPP).
The wind farms will be located in the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and have 79 turbines in total.
The developments are expected to begin in July 2015 and February 2016.
Gamesa will also supply 18 turbines with a total capacity of 36MW to four other wind farms in the country.
The extended projects are in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
India is expected to increase its wind capacity from 23,000MW to 40,000MW by the end of 2019, according to estimates.
