Indian power company Tata Power has opened a 24MW wind farm in the state of Gujarat.

The project at Rojmal takes the company’s total installed capacity to 8,750MW, out of which renewable energy capacity stands at 1,383MW.

The wind farm is expected to generate nearly 52 million units per year.

Anil Sardana, MD and CEO of Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company said: “This is one of the many key milestones in our endeavour to generate 20-25% of Tata Power’s total generation capacity from clean energy sources.”
