The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) is independent, well supported and a great opportunity for the sector to get together.

That’s why it was even more successful in its third year, according to the sponsors.

The ceremony, which took place at the beautiful Mermaid Theatre in London last week, awards the best consultants and energy brokers in the industry.

Speaking to ELN before the ceremony, Dave Reed, Sales Director at npower, the headline sponsor said: “It’s a great event where we bring everyone together, we can network, we can listen to each other.

“There are customers, there are consultants and brokers here and we can enjoy each others’ company and drive our success in the business forward.”

He added energy consultants play a “crucial” part in the industry.

Mr Reed said: “There are over 1,000 energy consultants and brokers in the UK. More than nearly 75% of our business comes through consultants and brokers so they are hugely important. They are very innovative and they provide a good service to the customer.”

Jacqui Hall, Managing Director at CNG insisted TELCA has “nothing to do with the sponsors”, adding: “It’s just about TPIs, brokers and consultants.”

Other sponsors “absolutely loved” the event which they believe is getting “bigger and bigger” and “influential” every year.

Others added it was a “wonderful atmosphere” and there were “good surprises”.

“We’re going to have to do Wembley next year”, said Catherine McLean, Manager Director at McLean Ross.
