The UK’s gas prices are flat compared to last night’s close, according to npower’s daily market report.
The linepack is forecast to close 20mcm short.
Norwegian flows are currently at 17mcm while the Dutch Balgzand Bacton Line (BBL) nominations are still zero.
Alex Guiot from npower’s optimisation desk said: “We could see a small amount of flow from BBL today given the short gas system in the UK and the continent’s take of Russian gas having increased yesterday.”
Liquified Natural Gas send-out remains stable as a cargo arrived yesterday in the UK and another tanker is expected to come next week.
Wind generation is currently at 300MW and solar power is forecast to generate 2.7GW today.
Mr Guiot added: “As a result of poor renewable feed-in, CCGT demand is nominating 39mcm which represents 45% of the stack this morning.”
Oil is trading at $56.73 a barrel (£35.7/bbl).
