The role will focus on leading the commercial development of the business’ growth into the Solar sector. A key project is deploying allocated funding for Solar PV in the UK’s social housing sector. Key responsibilities:
- Sourcing and originating asset finance transactions across the solar sector in the UK directly from potential clients/counterparties
- Developing and executing transactions including negotiating transaction documentation and managing the client relationship throughout the entire process
- Managing and building a team as well as a range of main contractor and subcontractor relationships
- Developing alternative origination/sales channels
- Filtering new opportunities and developing, refining and presenting transactions to business leaders within the group
- Analysing potential transactions, including participation in due diligence and managing third party service providers
Required Background / Skill set:
- extensive network in the social housing sector
- highly commercial background with a proven track record of originating and executing profitable transactions and/or business opportunities
- proven sales/origination track record in asset (or project/corporate) finance in the energy, utilities or renewable sectors in the UK
- experienced in successfully managing P&L
- strong project management skills
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- degree educated ideally in commerce, finance, legal, accounting or economics
- hard working, can-do attitude and the desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment
