The gas system is oversupplied by 5mcm this morning, according to npower’s daily market report.
Norwegian flows through the Langeled pipeline are down to 49mcm.
Alex Guiot from npower’s optimisation desk said: “On the LNG side we remain around yesterday’s level at 58mcm with South Hook expecting to receive two more cargoes on the 26th and 28th of August.”
Rough nominates 13mcm of injection this morning.
Mr Guiot added: “On the power side wind feed-in is out-turning 2.6GW, meeting its forecast, unlike yesterday.”
Solar generation is forecast higher than yesterday at 3.2GW. French and Dutch interconnectors are importing at their maximum capacity.
Oil is rebounding from last night’s low of $43.40 a barrel (£27.48/Bbl) and is currently trading at $43.50 a barrel (£27.54/Bbl). However it is down from yesterday morning’s report.
