Stuart Pocock is Chief Operating Officer at the Renewable Energy Association and has over fifteen years’ experience in the renewable energy sector. Along with the day to day running of the Association, Stuart continues to be heavily involved in renewable energy policy and previously played a major role in the introduction of Feed-in Tariff and Renewable Heat Incentive policies. Stuart is also the REA’s policy lead on solar, deep geothermal and renewable energy finance. Previous to his current role at the REA he was Chief Executive of the Solar Trade Association.

Stuart also has over twenty years’ experience in the construction industry where he worked for ‘blue chip’ companies, Redland and Lafarge. He held a variety of senior management positions in purchasing, quality assurance and marketing as well as heading up their successful UK renewable energy business. During this time Stuart also represented the construction products sector on the Renewable Advisory Board’s Microgeneration Working Group.
