A UK energy consultancy has been snapped up by a procurement services company for an undisclosed amount.
UES Energy’s two main shareholders will join the senior leadership team at Inprova’s energy division.
UES Energy covers a number of sectors in the UK including manufacturing, food, education, service and leisure, with clients such as National Grid and Wales & West Utilities.
It analyses energy prices, validates bills and reports on energy usage and procuring and manages more than £150 million of energy contracts. The company expects its turnover to be more than £2 million this financial year.
Its Managing Director Andrew Diplock was named Business Person of the Year at The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) earlier this year.
Inprova said its latest purchase is part of its plans to at least double the size of its business in the next two to three years.
Earlier this year it bought two other energy brokers – energyTEAM and ENER-G Procurement.
The company currently procures more than £500 million of goods and services every year for clients including those in logistics, private equity and local government.
Paul Kennedy, Inprova Group Chief Executive, said: “This deal further consolidates Inprova’s growing energy services offer and brings us closer to our ambition to be among the top five TPIs in the country.
“UES Energy complements the world class services, expertise and knowledge we already have in our new energy division and will enable us to continue to expand our service offer to existing customers and reach new markets.”
