The UK gas system is 5mcm long this morning, according to npower’s daily market report.

That’s because some outages ended during the weekend.

Langeled flows from Norway are nominating at 60 mcm.

Alex Guiot from npower’s optimisation desk said: “Latest announcement from Teesside reported some flows reduction for eight hours on Monday, which should impact 10% of volume from the processing facility.”

On the power system, wind is generating 1.3GW and is expected to increase to 2.5GW.

Solar power is forecast above 1.5GW this afternoon.

Mr Guiot added: “The French and Dutch interconnectors are importing at full capacity.”

Oil is currently trading at $48.10 per barrel.

Mr Guiot said: “We are seeing the Brent contract firming this morning as OPEC calls for $80/bbl by 2020.”
