Russian company Gazprom has signed a gas deal with Serbia.

The Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) was signed between Chairman of Gazprom Alexey Miller and Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia.

It focuses on Russian gas supplies to Serbia and its underground gas storage (UGS) facilities in the country.

The two countries will also co-operate on natural gas vehicles (NGV) and small-scale LNG shipments.

In 2013 a contract was signed for up to 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas supply to Serbia for a period of 10 years.
