Greencoat UK Wind is looking to raise £50 million for its latest wind farm investment.

It has placed around 46 million shares at 107.5 pence each on the London Stock Exchange.

Chairman Tim Ingram said the proceeds will be used to part-fund the investment within 10 days of shares being on the market.

He added: “We are well placed to take advantage of the substantial growth in the UK wind farm secondary market and have made significant progress on developing our pipeline of near-term investment opportunities.”

Earlier this year the UK Government sold all its shares in the renewables investment farm.
