Our client are one pf the largest infrastructure company in the UK, with annual sales of over £11 billion, and are in the Top 20 in the world. They believe everyone should be employed and promoted solely on the basis of his or her personal merit and contribution.

Currently they ar looking for a Sustainability Manager who will be part of the project team helping deliver project environment and sustainability requirements. They have just one several new projects in London and are looking to get to work and expand their teams

DUTIES
• Develop and manage the project Environment and Sustainability action plans and translate Balfour Beatty and LLDC policies, standards & project targets into workable solutions
• Facilitate and support sustainable solutions, develop appropriate business cases and review best practice from across the industry and within Balfour Beatty to drive innovation.

• Deliver expertise around a number of desirable areas including Carbon, Water, Waste, Materials & Responsible Sourcing, Ecology, Environmental Management, Environmental Nuisance, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes – providing specialist support and leadership to the project team

Requirments

Confident in liaising with experts in environmental limits (Carbon, Water, Waste, Materials & Responsible Sourcing, Ecology, Environmental Management, BREEAM, Code) and potentially has expertise in one or more environmental limits areas.

Strong communication and relationship management skills are required.

Understanding and practical experience of project Environmental and Sustainability risks and opportunities and how they practically impact on the ‘built environment’
