The UK gas system is oversupplied, according to npower’s daily market report.

The linepack is more than 6mcm long.

Imports through the UK Interconnector have increased to 13mcm and Norwegian and Dutch flows haven’t changed.

Sam Hill from the Optimisation Desk said: “LNG send out from South Hook is at 44mcm, this is ahead of a tanker due to dock today, with another due to dock on the 16th next week.”

 

The Aldborough and Rough storage facilities are at 13mcm and 35mcm respectively.

On the power system, peak margins are at more than 12GW with CCGT providing 47% of the generation stack.

Wind is generating 1.5GW.

Mr Hill added: “Brent Oil has dropped off to just below $31/bbl (£21.08/bbl) this morning.”
