The European Green Capital of 2016 Ljubljana is focusing on sustainable tourism this month.
The capital of Slovenia, has set a programme of different events which aim to raise awareness about the topic.
The activities, co-ordinated by Ljubljana Tourism, will have a positive impact on the entire local environment.
Some of those activities include tours around parks, taste of the local cuisine, cycling tours and conferences.
In a statement City Hall said: “Already in 2007, with the strategy ‘Vision Ljubljana 2025’, the Slovenian capital embarked on the path of sustainable development, within which we have been pursuing the objective to ensure an even higher quality of life for all our citizens in a green, safe, clean and orderly city.”
Bristol was the European Green Capital last year.
