The UK gas system is 12mcm long, according to npower’s daily market report.
Gas is slightly firmer on Brent oil which is currently trading at $46.39/bbl (£35.3/bbl).
Rodney Johnson from the Optimisation Desk said: “Brent was up over the weekend due to a weaker dollar and unrest in Libya and news from Venezuela that both OPEC and non-OPEC countries are close to reach a deal on stabilising output next week in Algiers.”
On the power system, power generation from renewables is low and the outage at Hartlepool 1 nuclear plant will end tomorrow.
The French interconnector is importing at 1GW due to planned maintenance.
Pound is at around €1.17.
