There platform uses a coordinated, system-level approach to Smart Grid and delivers tangible business benefits to energy providers and their customers. This allow utilities to deploy with confidence and ensure long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements, verifies and configures their software
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues in customer environments
  • Perform informal training to customers user groups on use and maintenance of software
  • Participates on project as a lead member of the technical team deploying their software and other IT components. In most cases, the software implementation will be part of a larger technology deployment involving large scale (>1Million devices) networks
  • Support the overall Project Director\Manager\ System Integration Lead as needed in project management activities
  • Smart Metering business process analysis and design, deployment planning and execution, and training development and delivery activities
  • Interface with internal and client team members to complete project activities and required deliverables
  • Develop expertise related to the utility industry and the their solution

Job requirements:

  • 7+ years hands on experience with complex systems
  • Attention to technical detail
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a tenacious approach to issue resolution.
  • Expert understanding of the UK Smart Metering end to end architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline
  • Experience in the Utility, Wireless, Smart Grid or Energy Management field is a plus
  • Capable of communicating effectively to both business and technical resources
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic , high growth environment
  • Broad working knowledge of enterprise systems technology including:
    • Operating Systems – Windows, Linux
    • Databases – Oracle, MySQL,MSSQL
    • Applications Development plaftorm s – Java,XML,
    • Networking – Enterprise Security, Firewalls,TCP/IP
